I just had a strange/stupid thought. I've read recently some people are doing the Lord of the Rings journey.... and while that seems weird to me, the over-all idea is fun... so my question is, I bought a new bike...and I plan on using it.... I guess I could call a bike shop, but want to throw this out there... can I get an odometer for the new bike? I could take my own journey.... say around the perimeter of Jamaica.... it might help my motivation????

cos it's about 48 miles from mobay to runaway bay, jamaica... and about 19 from runaway bay to ocho rios.. it's only about 10 miles from simpson bay st maarten to orient bay st martin, but only 4 miles to marigot. anybody wanna go on vacation with me?

and today, after taking a bike ride this morning I decided that this is way too geeky for me. scratch that-it's just not necessary to motivate me. I had my hrm on... realized that one lap around the neighborhood didn't burn enough calories so I made another loop. that's all the incentive I need. so I'm saying, what ever works.. that HRM thing is great..
