just calculated my tdee...have a question!!

So I've been doing the whole 1200 calorie thing without much success. I just calculated my tdee using a calculator on IIFYM.com. It came to 2217. After subtracting %20 I get 1774. Soooo...do I still eat back my excercise calories using this method??

P.s. hooray for more food! Hahaha...

No. If you chose the right activity level in calculating your TDEE, you don't eat them back. Enjoy more food :)!

Ok! Thank you. So technically I'll be netting under 1774.

Also, if I have 24 lbs to lose, is a 20% deficit enough?

When you calculated your tdee, did you include exercise? If so then don't eat exercise cals back

I log my exercise as 1 calorie so the whole "calories remaining thing" isn't way off from how much I actually have left to eat.

    200- 2000 CAL
    180- 1800 CCAL

You have to mean 10% less, not less than 10% lol..that would suck.

    NO.
If that were true I'd only be eating 1390 calories and I am losing just fine on about 1800 net calories a day, thank you very much. And please stop writing in all caps. It's considered yelling and is rude.
