I learned about MFP at work back on March 12th from co-workers. I went home and got signed up and quickly discovered this is exactly what I needed!!!!!

Here I am, 9 weeks later, and I am half way to my goal! I wanted/needed to lose 65 pounds. I'm now beyond the halfway point ( 37 pounds). MFP has taught me nutrition and portion contol (both or which are first time ever!). I've learned how to kick up my metabolism by eating every three hours or so. I'm spending a lot of time on an eliptical (sp?) and doing a lot of walking. No matter what I will walk my way into good health!!!!!

I'm learning about orgainic and low-fat. I'm paying attention to how to get a lot of bang-for-my (calorie) buck. I'm learning about how to avoid refined sugar.

I'm an old dog that is indeed learning new tricks. It would NOT have been possible without MFP. I have lost 40+ pounds 7 times in my lifetime prior to this, but now I am confident I can maintain weight loss.

Wow! 37 lbs in 9 weeks is about 4 lbs per week (or minus 2000 calories per day).
I know it feels so good to lose that quickly, but it also has a pitfall. You might gain it back again (which we--and the rest of us--have done in the past.)
Could I suggest that when you reach your goal weight, reset you calories to a maintenance setting. For about 3-6 months longer, eat what you need to eat to maintain your goal weight. Get your body used to your 'lifetime' setting.
Congratulations on your weight loss. May you never have to go through weight loss again.
I trick I recently learned: If my pants get tight, eat less until they fit again! ;) Who knew there was such a quick fix for weight maintenance!!!  :drinker:
