Dandelion Root for Hormones/Liver?

I just got off Beyaz, which I was taking for perimenopause syptoms, and my hormones are going crazy. I'm taking a generic version of Estroven (supplement) on my doctor's advice, but need a little help till things get back on track. I read online that dandelion root tea is good for sorting things out, so I picked some up at GNC. Got capsules in case the tea tasted bad. The GNC person said it's also very good for the liver. I don't believe in cleanses, since the liver and other organs naturally do everything that's needed, but that certainly wouldn't be bad if it's good for liver health. I also saw some people say it helps with acid reflux. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with dandelion root for hormones or any of its other effects and if it seemed to help.

I'm thinking that if there were any real, scientifically proven truth to using dandelion roots for health, we would see acres upon acres of it being grown in placee of corn, wheat and soybeans. As it is, we see acres and acres of dandelions which most people consider a weed not a valuable crop. I do know that the leaves of dandelions are edible and have eaten them in salads and cooked them like spinach.

The evidence I find online is anecdotal, so I'm interested in seeing the personal experiences here. Not as good as scientific evidence, of course, but it would be interesting to see if MFP experience lines up with other websites. I'm taking it anyway, since it doesn't appear to be harmful.
