I'm 52 this year and over the last two years I have gained too much weight. I'm hoping to lose it and feel better about exercising. I used to be a fit freak and a jogger, but got made redundant, became a full time student and haven't managed to find the passion for exercise that I once had.I also got a few joint aches when I was in the volunteer fire brigade (all that running in heavy boots), which haven't come right enough for jogging. I walk for about 30 minutes 3 times a week at the moment. Have thickened a lot around my middle. My clothes don't fit. Today is my start day to lose 10 - 15 kg (about 33 lbs).

Hi Suzarella
I am from New Zealand too! Nice to meet you.
I'm 27 years old, I work full time but I am also a part time student so I understand how you feel. I used to be super active doing karate and at the gym 6 days a week but I had a knee injury, had surgery a year ago and still haven't upped my game. It sounds like you're doing better than me so far! I've just started getting into jogging now, but I am pretty bad haha
I'd love us to encourage and support each other and have added you as a friend if you care to accept - if not, that's cool too I wish you all the best!0
