stress and eating

hello so I am back to doing well on here logging and exercising full out. I had a really bad spurt these past few months cause of stress...from work problems, my sons move to Australia, my daughter in college and my wife's work stress...all of this combined created comfort eating completely out of control. Does anyone else ever run into these problems and if so what do you do about them? I have been getting really good support from my friends on here and my wife and I have continued to exercise but in that time period I gained 12 lbs and had to reset my weight on here...I am back though and have lost some weight this week...

    When I am stressed I do the follwing things:
    1. Read or write.
    2. Make a list of non-scale victories; sometimes the small things are the big things!
    3. Go for a walk.
    4. Call a friend.
    5. Listen to music.
