Interesting work bias and getting in a workout

I find it intersting the bias for people working out during work hours.
Yes, I have been guilty of the same feelings. But it is interesting that when you are trying every way possible to stay motivated to go to the gym and you take an hour to an hour and a half to go to the gym during the work day but then work additional time to do your work / work your hours then get feedback they people think you are skating out of work.

As I indicated I have been guilty of seeing people go to the gym during work hours and thinking "It must be great to have time to go to the gym instead of working".

Why do we have those feeling of envy or resentment for people trying to stay healthy?

I had a job once where I had "flex hours;" I had to be at work from 10am-2pm M-F for meetings and whatnot, but they didn't care how your got your 40 in otherwise. It was great.

I'm in school during the day, I work 3rd shift, and I have a kid; I fit the gym in whenever I can, and I have no envy for those who are at the gym at 5am or noon or 9pm because I get it. If they're trying to get in shape, then why should I be upset because they can go at times I can't?
