Is your goal to get bigger or toned? Slightly confused with weights. i want to gain some muscle, but not be big and manly. I would like to see definition without being all vains and too much muscle. how should I be doing this? 12 -15 reps as heavy as I can go? 3 or 4 sets? lots of protein? I am 35% protein on my macros I believe Any advice is appreciated. want to be friends with some women that lift weights for motivation. thanks.

Contrary to popular belief, you will not get big and bulky from lifting weights as a woman. Women who body build have to work very hard to get that way.
As far as training, I am still pretty new to lifting, so I can't help much there. I can tell you that I am doing the New Rules of Lifting for Women and I love it. I am halfway through stage 3. It has done amazing things for my body. If I could manage to eat clean most of the time, then it would do really amazing things for my body
Feel free to add me! I am always looking for MFP friends who lift.0
