Working hard but can't keep the diet in check

Hey everyone I have always been an active person, but I seem to love food a little too much. I know that drinking water is a good way to keep cravings down and I know that cutting sugar intake keeps you from craving it as much. But the fact is I enjoy eating. I seem to either eat too little because I am trying so hard to keep things in check, or I eat too much because I'm so hungry.

I work out 5 times a week at the gym with weights (cardio when I can.) I also have dance rehearsals 3 to 4 times a week on top of this. All I am wondering is if anyone has tips for me or support. Anyone else an athlete or dancer? Let me know what works for you and I would be very thankful. I hope you all are having luck and control on your path to better health :-)
