Staying determined to lose weight.

So i want to lose weight, i've given up on day one!

How do i stay determined?! People bring things into the office and I just can't resist. I addicted to pastry, this really cannot be good for me?

  • I've been there, man. Personally, I try to take things a day at a time, even one minute at a time. I break my day up into small meals and snacks so I eat like 6 times a day, so when I feel the urge to grab something junky I can say to myself "Self, you get a snack in 30 minutes/ 1 hour/ whatever, and that's not long."

    My office has a huge kitchen full of candy and cookies and stuff, and it can be so tempting to run down there and just grab something, so in that case I have to stop and read the label (or if someone is waving a cupcake at me, look up the nutrition info) and relate it to a workout- like, ok, is this oatmeal raisin cookie really worth a half hour on the treadmill?

    Now, having said all that- sometimes, it is. You can't drive yourself nuts, so sometimes you gotta splurge. Just don't do it often, give yourself an allowance of like one and work it into your plan. It's a lifestyle, which means you still gotta live. :happy:
