    I'll throw my vote in with the "body weight" exercise people. I'm sure there are plenty of specific programs that work that way. I'm building strength and flexibility like crazy doing DDP Yoga, which is all about "Dynamic Resistance."

    sounds a really daft question, but is there any way i could start lifting at home without having to buy any kit? am a complete newbie to this topic, so not to sure where to start. Any ideas would be great!

    Lift yourself! You won't break any powerlifting records, but you can definitely get strong with bodyweight workouts.

    Try using water bottles I know they are not that heavy but when you do a lot of reps they do get heavy

    Take 2 chairs put them close together and DIP!
    Push ups
    Calf raises
    Look for a bar or similar and do PULL UPS!

    My favorite around the house is the bag of dog food. It gets lighter slowly (my dogs don't eat much) but hey its there already. :smile:
