Big losses the week of monthly cycle

So i know most people gain weight the week of their monthly cycle.. but for me if I exercise and drink my 8 glass of h20 a day.. i end up losing my most weight that week... im confused as to why.. when most people tend to bloat/retain water the week of and then lose it the week after.. like this week I have already lost 2 lbs and its only day 3 of my period so I know i should be gaining instead. very weird.

I don't think it is weird at all. I maintain pretty well during TOM, but I think there are several factors that weigh into how a person's body response during that time of the month. For instance, I get tired (but I work out anyway), I am more hungry (but I continue to watch what I eat) and I get rest. When I did not pay attention to these things, I did gain and retain water weight.0
