Is it yo-yo dieting-under one day over the next?

Hmmm....I was just reviewing my past weeks diary...Is it yo-yo dieting if I'm over by 300 calories one day then under by 300 the next etc? At week's end it would net out, but it is not consistent.

    No, I don't believe that's yo-yo dieting. In fact... as long as you're netting out in the long run and still at a deficit you will most likely successfully lose weight.

    Yo-yo dieting is someone who jumps on the latest and greatest fad (or just a healthy kick)... loses a ton of weight, then doesn't maintain it as a lifetstyle... causing it to all come back.

    Then a couple months later they are fed up they gained the weight back.. they get back on their healthy kick and lose, then go back to their old bad habits and regain... thus the yo yo goes UP and down. :)
