What Can I Do, So I Don't Have To Have Surgery?

Hello I am wondering what can I do for my stomach to tighten it, so I don't need to go through surgery to have extra flab taken off? I have only been the weight I am for a year or two ( up and down so not 100% sure). I know I have seen some amazing woman on here who had like 400+ to lose and didn't have a knife touch there tummies and they look FABULOUS!!
I just want to know what sort of exercises I should be doing to get my skin to tone and tighten as I go along? I normally ride horses, swim, walk, hike, bike and paddle board ( just starting this year). I also have Insanity I can do some of it ( injured leg that gives out easily on jumping jacks and anything that includes jumping) and Ripped in 30 days by Jillian Michael. Are any of these helpful?
Any other information would be awesome !!

It depends on different factors. I have 2 friends who have lost a massive amount of weight. One was close to 250 lbs and the other is 450 lb loss. Now saying that, they both had skin removal surgery. It all depends on you. How well you keep yourself hydrated, your age, stuff like that. No amount of exercise is going to tighten your skin. Only will tighten your muscles and help you lose body fat. There is also a product that I have seen it work (pics of my cousin) is a body wrap. I don't know how it works exactly but after a few times of wearing it, you can see the results. My cousin sells them and I don't know how much they are, but it worth a try. I can put you in touch with her if you want. Other than that, I really don't know what else would help.0

Are they ItWorks body wraps? I have used those and LOVE them. I plan on using them for the next 40 lbs I have to lose!0 -
Working out with both cardio and toning/weight training will help you get rid of the flab. The problem you could have is extra skin, which you may be able to tighten up over time. I've heard people say losing the weight slowly helps the skin. If you've only been this heavy for a couple of years, then you might not even have much extra skin. Just lose the weight and see how you look.0

I know of someone who lost over 100 pounds and she used cocoa butter on her stomach and didn't have any loose skin. I did some sleuthing ( Google-ing :-) ) and found that keeping the skin moisturized in general will help it to tighten up as you lose weight. Worth a try, I'd say.
Good luck in your journey :-)0 -
Everyone is different...
But that being said, this is what I am doing to deal with that issue. I moisturize every day with Aveeno lotion and at night I use vitamin E oil on my tummy and thighs (it is a bit sticky, but very very good for the skin). I stay well hydrated, and try to lose weight slowly, combined with a small deficit and weight training. I started out with a low calorie diet (1200!) and lost too fast so i do have some loose skin, but everything I read said it can take 2 years to tighten back up (if you have good genes).
The loose appearance is getting better slowly so I am hopeful it will come all the way back.0 -

On the average, if one has 80+ to reduce, then there's a good chance there will be loose skin. Of course the extent will depend on genetics, age and how fast one lost their weight too. The body is pretty amazing though and I have seen some people who lost a lot a weight with no need to go under the knife.

age, elasticity of the skin, and stretch marks are all huge factors. it can be done, also depends what your ideal of looks good is. some people don't have any of those, and removing skin makes all the difference. I hope you do well and don't have to.0

It also depends on the stretch marks.... those are impossible to fix. If you have too many that skin is not going to go back the way it was0

From previous posts and my own knowledge you should moisturize like crazy using something like coconut oil or cocoa butter, you should drink lots of water, you should lift weights, skin brushing, and losing at a slow pace. Then, once you get to maintenance weight, you may need to give your skin a year or two to tighten up. It sometimes needs a little catch up time.0

Also, unless your extra skin is paper thin it means there are stubborn body fat deposits left.
But I have heard moisturizing can help as well.0
