You can do so much with this as a base:
1 tin chopped tomatoes
Tomato puree (to taste)
Garlic puree (to taste)
And then whizz it down with a blender.
It's great with oregano and basil for an Italian flavour, or you can use tarragon (sounds odd, but really works!). It's great baked.0 -
I like to use Hunt's No Sugar Added Pasta sauce. It's good and only 35 cals per half a cup!0

If you like a little twist, try adding chilli powder or chilli flakes if you like spicy tomato sauces.
I tend to add mixed herbs which had a few different green herbs to my ragu.0
