A little lost of what to do

So I have been on MFP since Oct 2012 I have tried Insanity and got injured so had to stop. I recovered which took about 2 months and PT so slow started back at the YMCA with cardio and lifting. Then feeling much better I started P90X and then got about 2 weeks in and decided to turn my focus on to running seeing I have a 5K coming up and havent done much running. I have been following my cal intake and managed to lose a few lbs. This is were I am lost of what to do next. I am sick of logging my food in having diffucult time doing my excerises and have been eating way to much. I want to turn things around but I am sore all the time, tired even though I am getting 8 plus hours of sleep and I have been eating not so good of stuff. So not knowing what to do. Do I give up? I dont want to but sometimes it seems easier to do just that. I want to be healthy and eat right but I am struggling a bit with it all. Maybe a break is what I need but afraid that I will fall into bad habits. I know I should focus on the good I have done but I have beaten myself up for so many years that it feels normal to be mean to myself and focus on what I have not been doing. I know I just have to do it and stop complaining. I am sure there is someone out there that is lost of what to do.

I read the above article on Beachbody and it really explains a lot about what your body is going thru. Hopefully, it will help answer some of your questions. Life gets in the way but, you still get to choose what you want out of it. Best wishes!

This paragraph is full of success! You're exercising, and logging and seeing the results of the two.

Okay so here's my question: What does your week look like in terms of exercise? Are you still doing P90x, c25k and lifting? You're sleeping.. that's good.. but what about rest days?

If you're "eating not so good stuff" then it sounds like you've already fallen off the wagon into bad habits once again and I'm not sure how a break would help this.

Do you have a Goal? Maybe something more than "Lose XX Pounds." Just losing weight might not be enough. How about mini goals? Maybe a goal to get Vitamin A to 100% 4 times in a week... or jog X miles total in 1 week.

I think it's time to focus on how you've been able to succeed, rather than focus on your failures. Mini goals might help. Choose weekly goals that are achievable, but will still be a challenge.

How about a Plan? Okay.. so you have a goal, maybe it's to be able to run that 5k. But what's your plan to get there? I think it's admirable that you were doing the cardio and lifting then added the p90 and c25k, but that looks like you're jumping around a bit.

intotennis thanks I will check out the article I just printed it out and will read when I get home.

dotknott thanks you certainly made me think. You are right I do have success and need to remember this and focus on the good. As for your questions I am mainly jogging and some weights thrown in here and there. You right a break would only bring me down further. I have a goal to finish the 5k which is this sunday and run as much as I can until friday and will take a rest on saturday. I have a goal to be able to do a pull up I gave myself 30 days to complete this. I dont have mini goals nor do I come up with weekly goals. Yes I am all over the place and think that is what is getting me down. So I will have some thinking to do of what and where I want to go.

Thank you both I am starting to feel a bit better about things
