I don't plan on lifting for a few months because I have to get my cardio obsession out of the way and I won't be home for nearly a month so best to start when I get back.
So I've been learning from you all here and scooby's calculator and my goal is to get my macros in line before the big day.
Today is day 1 and I'm just about on target! I can't explain the excitement! I have my macros set at p-35, c-45, f-20 and today I will finish with 38-42-20. !!!! I was barely eating 50 grams of protein a day so this is huge for me. The bonus of eating the protein is I am absolutely stuffed. For lunch, I had a tin of tuna with 150 grams of cottage cheese mixed in and had 8 multigrain crackers to go with. It was yummy!
I just need to stay on track and get other high protein foods in my log. I'm really looking forward to doing away with as many simple carbs as possible and stick with complex carbs. I love learning about nutrtion. Amazing!
Anyway, so thankful to have this board full of such helpful members.

Feel a bit silly but I'm reading more and it's my understanding that I don't need to eat this much protein until I actually start lifting. Going to keep learning and be prepared. Will give me some time to sort out my foods and some great recipes.
Eh, we all start somewhere, lol0
