Going to NOLA for the first time

Anyone got any good tourist advice for New Orleans? I am going there for a conference in June. I love blues music so I plan to check out its awesome scene. Any particular live music venues to check out at night to catch some decent shows?

    Walk around the French Quarter, hit up some restaurants and shops. You'll have a good time!

    You have to go to Cafe Du Monde for their Beingets! Yes, they are loaded, but yummy! :flowerforyou:

    thanks for the ideas!... I will for sure do some walking around the French Q! and look up these "beingets too!...they look killer!..
