Can I suggest you steam instead of boil? Boiling leaches a bunch of the nutrients out and you pour them down the sink. You can buy a steamer insert for a couple of bucks, just pop it in your pan over an inch of water, veggies in, lid on and simmer for 8-12 minutes depending how well cooked you like them.0

I used to boil mine for about 15 minutes. I did buy a steamer and am in love!!!0

I have a glass Corning casserole with lid. I simply rinse the veggie thoroughly, place in covered dish (no added water) and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes depending on the veggie. Then I drain the water and add spices and olive oil and it comes out perfect every time. Yesterday I steamed butternut squash that way and it took about 6 minutes. Broccoli and asparagus take 2-3 minutes depending on how soft or firm you like them.0

Agree.
Another trick a partner of mine at work who is a trained chef taught me is put them in a sautee pan which a little bit of water and it will slightly boil/steam them. Only have enough water to last about 3 or 4 minutes them finish them off it the sautee pan will Olive oil and water condiments you like to add.
Thank you everyone for the suggestions!0
