Title Boxing Club--results?

I have a friend who's been raving about TBC and they're running a special right now, 2 wks for $20 and no activation fee if you join after that. My friend is much fitter than I am--I have about 80-100 lb to lose, she's at her ideal wt but says TBC is helping her with definition and toning. My main goal would be increasing endurance and wt loss.

Just wondered if anyone had experience with TBC and any feedback? It seem pretty flexible which works with my weird work schedule, and I'm looking for something to get me back on track and excited about exercise again. I searched the forum but there are only 2 threads, both pretty old, so thought I'd look for some current input!

Thanks!

I have a friend that belongs to one and lives by it. I went with her for 1 free class one day and it totally beat me up. Incredible workout, but I don't think I'd get much out of the membership because I could only handle a class like that once or 2x a week. It's typically an hour of intense boxing/kickboxing (which is fun and a great workout) but I found it hard at my goal weight after losing 40 pounds.

What I would do before joining is to go to a one class with her and see how you do. Any exercise that you stick with 3-4 times a week will give you the results you want, you just have to want to do it.

I went for my first free class on Friday. It kicked my *kitten*. Litterally.

At my club it is 59 dollars a month for unlimited visits. They recommend at LEAST three per week. If you do the math, it is MORE than reasonable. Thats 6 bucks per one hour session. You can not beat that. As long as you go.

It was the HARDEST thing I have ever done physically. I am a larger girl, but do consider myself fit. I do 5 and 10ks with few issues. It took me three days to recover and now I am going back to join.

I have never had such a physical workout and its exactly what I needed to get out of my gym rut.
