Plastic surgery anyone?
I am almost 30 and my husband wants another baby. I told him that after this baby I am getting a tummy tuck. I want to be able to wear a bikini again but I am nervous. Has anyone gotten one or know someone who has. Was it worth it. How much does it usually run? How long after having a baby should I wait?

Your best bet is to go for a consultation with a PS. They are often free. My friend got a mini tuck post 2 C sections. I doubt they will be able to tell you if you will need a full or mini until you are ready for the procedure. (after your last baby)0

Hi
I don't think that you need one, based on your pics. You are also still in your 20s, and I heard that you can bounce back after your 2nd pregnancy.0 -
Yup did it!
Very tough surgery, tough long recovery, and would never do it again. Very glad I did it the first time though. I lost over 100lbs and had lots of sagging skin, abs had separated.0 -
Depends on the surgeon. Some will want you to lose the baby weight first, as much as you can. Others will tuck you pretty quickly.
My sister had one and regrets it. The scars give her fits and she has tight skin issues. The scars took forever to heal and not be really red.0 -

My friend just had a full tummy tuck and lift...it's a pretty "easy" procedure and she was out the same day. Lots of pain afterwards but totally worth it she says! We're in Toronto, Canada and it cost her approx $7000 here....0 -
I've had two kids, no plastic surgery & still wear a bikini. I'm not ripped, by any stretch of the imagination, but I think I look decent in my bikini. It took a lot of hard work to get there, though. Not saying I'm opposed to plastic surgery, as there are some I'd certainly consider as I get older... But I'd say try to do it first with diet and exercise.0

One week out from my own surgery, wanted to be able to go to the beach, take my shirt off and not have my loose skin gross me and everyone else there completely out.
For a lateral chest tightening (removed the skin left from my moobs) and an abdomnioplasty WITHOUT liposuction (I'm around 10% body fat now, there's no fat to suction!), mine cost just shy of $11k, that covered everything. Pre-op, lab work, anesthesia, surgery and all my post-op equipment, visits, everything but my prescriptions (percoset, an anti-nausea suppository, a blood thinner and anti-biotic). It was NOT, however, covered by insurance and most likely won't be covered by any insurance (100% elective + 100% cosmetic = 100% not covered).
So far, so good. Even with the swelling it looks pretty damn good. I've gotten 3 of 4 drains out (last one comes out Thursday. Would be tomorrow, but the Doc and his assistant are in surgery all day), Tummy is a little sore, but nowhere near where it was day one. Most frustrating has been the back pain from having to walk around hunched over for 4 days before being allowed to start straightening up.
If you want, PM me, I'll give you more details or an update in a couple weeks.0 -
I need a tummy tuck now so I know I will need one after my next baby. I am not really overweight...I just didnt bounce back and I have ALOT of stretch marks. I stayed small but my tummy was HUGE when I had my first baby. I am also in the military so I will have to be fit to run and do sit ups within the year.0

I had a personal friend get one and she like it but then allowed poor eating and alcohol to rule her life and eventually it was back where it all begin. I dont believe you should get one base on your pics, just count the calories and work out and be happy because you are amazing. Good Luck.0

I have had plastics, but needed it badly. Not too bad of a recovery. Definitely worth it. Be sure to find someone who does good belly buttons and low scars. So many plastic surgeons mess those two things up.0
