anybody tried calorie cycling???

EG if you were aiming for 1200 calories a day, if you had say 1000 Mon, tues, thurs, sat and 1466 wed, fri, sun
I heard it can get your metabolism going?
Has anyone had any good experiences with calorie cycling or is it just YET another fad...????

Yea, if i have 1000 cal one day, the next day i will have over 3,000 because i will be starved.0

My PT suggested it but it makes sense go high on carbs on cardio day, protein weight day and down to your net on rest days.0

Most of the evidences is anecdotal at best. Because over a week, your calorie deficit is still the same. There are other issues that you should address before calorie cycling is how large of a calorie deficit you have.
And you can't trick your metabolism, it's always working and burning calories.0 -
I don't know if this is the same, but recently I've just been really hungry, which makes my calories go over the goal of 1200 that I was given on here. So, I count the extra calories in the next day instead of that same day. It doesn't seem to make a difference right now, but I don't know...0
