So, I was at a Boxercise/Circuits class last night and LOVED it! Was my second class and love putting all the energy I have into it, pushing myself until I have no more. After one circuit, I lay down on one of the mats (like everyone else), lifted my arm and it was shaking like a leaf! My face was also nearly matching the bright red boxing gloves!
However, during one sparring session, in which we did jabs, upper cuts and hooks with our partner then moved along in a line, there was one girl who, when she came round to boxing with me holding the pads, hardly did anything - didn't put any energy into it and held up the line from moving on. She also still had her matching black velvet zip-up hoody on, full make-up (I'm sure some of you know the type). It was clear she wasn't making the most of the workout and all I can say is that I'm glad she wasn't my partner for the whole session. My partner was great to work with - putting everything she had into what she was doing, motivating me when she was using the pads and when I was nearly collapsing. Looking forward to working with her again next week
Anyway, the point of this rant is: put everything you have into a workout! Don't make a half-a$$ed attempt because there are other people present who may be affected by your lack of enthusiasm, especially during boxing/boxercise when you're paired up with others.
