Pre-run breakfast meal?

Hey,

I do morning 10K running training on a Sunday and I feel as though I am not alert enough and I am tiring quite quickly on my morning training. We are now averaging about 5 and half to 6 miles on a Sunday morning.

On Wednesday evening when I go to training I am alot better and I don't feel so exhausted, and I am pretty sure its down to having a good baked potato for lunch and eating before training.

I was just wondering what peoples advice would be for my Sunday morning training? I am leaving my house about 9 am for a 9:30 start time and I wake up about 8 am. I am usually eating porridge at about 8.10 am

My 10K race is on May 12th so its approaching fast and I really want to be in the best shape and mind frame for then which is on a Sunday morning as well.

Any help?

Emily
