Just signed up for my first half marathon in september. Nervous and excited. What advice do all you runners have?

Congrats!
Let's see...some advice...first find a good training program online (I used Jeff Galloway's for my first half).
Do at least one "trial" run of 11 miles or more at the same time of day as your Half is going to be.
Don't eat anything new or different on the day of the race and don't try any new clothes or shoes the day of the race.
Remember to have fun! Since this is your first, no matter what you will PR. Make sure your goal for the race is realistic and enjoy! It is addicting!

Good luck! I just did my first half last weekend. I followed the training plan at about.com for beginners. There is a lot of info there.

I just commented on someone else's post also. My advice is to take toilet paper. Sounds gross, but it's something I wish someone would have told me for my fist half. I have a spibelt to keep my phone in, and also put a waterproof bag in there with toilet paper, because I guarantee, you will never find a port a potty with any left.0
