No, it's not to low. as long as you stay above 1200, you should be fine. It's ok to go under or over some days (example: 1100 one day, 1400 another).

Some will say yes, most will say no.

Evaluate for yourself: how much energy do you have? How hungry are you?

If you have enough energy to devote yourself fully to your workouts (and the rest of your daily life), then you are probably fine with 1500. If you feel sluggish, or are not able to give 100%, you could probably raise your intake quite a bit and still lose weight.

I get in that range everyday and I weigh 280 (down from 432). I lift 2-3 days a week and significant cardio 2-3 times a week w/ no problems. Generally, you don't have to worry about starvation mode unless you're getting fewer than 1200. Keep it up!

I agree, as long you look at your totals over, say, a week or so, and they average 1350 or 1400, you should be fine! :)

^^^This^^^ Solid advice! You are the one conducting the weight loss experiment. While advice is nice you are the one that really has all the information necessary to answer those questions. Trust your body to respond to what you are doing. Use the food note area or exercise note area to track how you are feeling if necessary and make adjustments according to your body's demands.

Calorie intake looks great! 1900 a week is the "slow" paced calorie count for weight loss. You should do well:smile::wink:

Is that net? In other words, are you eating back your exercise calories?
  • No, I have days where I eat about 1,000 calories and I have plenty of energy and am not the least bit hungry. My goal now is only 12,00 calories and I hardly ever reach that. I have lost 9 pounds in only two weeks and I will be upset if i lose less than 3 pounds in a week.

1200 is to low for a lot of people. But 1500? Nah. Your range is just fine :)
