How's it going?

I'm new here, 26 year old male with the goal of losing 65 lbs. I'm curious about something. I have been drinking water A LOT more lately than what I've ever drank since my high school and college football days. Since I've started this, I feel like there is a constant lingering thirst. Not dry mouth or anything, just a lingering thirst. I also notice I'm using the restroom a lot more as well. I have no had any juices, cokes, etc etc in the last 5 days. It has been nothing but water. Anyone else experienced this? Any words of advice for me? All opinions are appreciated, thanks.
