Never reaching...

I feel like everytime I near my goal weight I am not as "happy" as was expecting and I set a new goal. I'm not sure if the cycle ever ends.
I'm 5'9, I started at 220 after I had my daughter a year ago. My goal was pre-pregnancy weight of 170. I got there and then I wanted to get to my wedding weight of 160. I got there and then I wanted to get to my ultimate goal which was 145 I had that goal before I had a baby but never reached it. I'm currently 145 but I'm not happy. I run, I lift weights, I'm also doing p90x so I'm definitely getting tone BUT I always imagined I would look way better at my "ultimate goal". I want to lose another 10-15 pounds but I'm worried I'll get there and be unhappy too.
Anyone else had this experience?

I think some of us have a mind set that we are "fat" and even when we are at optimal weight it is never enough weight loss. It can be a dangerous thing. If you check your BMI or Body fat % you will probably find that within the advised range for your height.
I am 30# of the high end of my BMI (I gained 45 after I had neck surgery, due to meds & exercise restrictions, but have lost 15 over the past 3 months) but I at one time was below recommended BMI (I'm 5ft 4 in and weighed 104) and I still saw myself as "fat" because I was told over and over when I was growing up that I was fat.
It can be a REAL struggle to start viewing yourself as "just right".0 -

I agree, I'm my own worst critic. I'm at a good BMI although I could lose more and still be in the good range. Body fat is at 20.7% roughly. I want to get down to more like 18.5% body fat.
I still try on larger sizes because I FEEL larger. I guess it takes time.0
