Anyone here fasting once a week because of the new studies?

new studies: fasting once a week increases life span and feel younger than the person's age

    I started doing the 5.2 diet (there is a group on MFP) about a month ago. I like it and its not a true fast its 500 calories a day for women and 600 for men. I'm doing 2 days a week and have found it easy to do and I feel good

    Ya I'm pretty sure there at least a couple fasting groups on MFP, there's at least one because I'm in it :)

    you can join the IF group or the Eat Stop Eat group ...

    I was doing IF lean gains for about six months...18 hour fast followed by six hour eating widow...

    I liked it and it helped me lean out ...but I just felt like I was always cooking at night so I have switched back to eating about three to four times a day ...

    Could you post the studies you refer to. Are there any yet that are showing fasting v non fasting with calories the same? The ones I have seen have included CR with the fasted group. I am not sure if these studies have been done/published yet but may have missed them
