Polar Heart Rate Monitor - Level of activity?

It has just occurred to me that I may have the wrong setting for the activity. I have a desk job so on the HRM I have put the lowest activity level. The thing is I'm in the gym 6 days a week for between one or two hours and them some weights which would put my activity after work as very active.
I'm just not sure what level it should be set at. Does anyone know?

Your activity level is based on the lifestyle you lead whilst outside of the gym--at least, that is how I've always understood it.0

Yes, it should be for how you spend the majority of hours in a day. So eight hours of sitting compared to eight hours of standing. I believe the Polar instructions explain that somewhere in the paperwork, at least my F4 did.0
