I *nearly* felt like giving up...

Initially when I changed my lifestyle for the better, I could see a huge difference in my body, and I could see it on the scale. In the last few weeks, though, I haven't seen as much of a change in my body, even though the scale has been going down steadily (about 1-2 lbs per week).
At the weekend, I went shopping, and picked up a lovely purple top (my favourite colour!) and saw it was a size 12 (UK). I bought it anyway, even though everything else I bought or tried on was a 14. Tried on the top today AND IT FIT!!! It fit and looks really nice! For a person that started this lifestyle change at about a size 16 (tight) or 18, this is a huge achievement! I have always been larger on top, and never thought I could get down to this size, so right now I'm so happy.
I guess this is a NSV, so I was wondering what other clothes-related NSV all of you fabulous people have had recently?

I can fit into jeans that I used to wear about 8 years ago. I was going to donate them just before I started MFP.0

That's great! :flowerforyou: I gave all my small jumpers to my little sister, and it has been great fun gradually stealing them back from her...0 -
I went shopping recently and headed straight for the size 20 ( uk) as my husband urges me to try some clothes on ( hate shopping for clothes with avengeance ) size 20 hung off me - they kept bringing size after size to the cubicle - fitted into a 14!!!!! and only 27lb down!!!! was gobsmacked!0

Congratulations! I know for me (having started at a UK 22/24) getting into a size 12 was a bit of a milestone. I could remember fitting into a 14 way back when, but never a 12!
The other day I went Oxfam shopping and ended up with a lovely designer top in a UK 12, that is a little loose but I couldn't resist, and a skirt in a 10. I also got a River Island skirt in a size 6! Vanity sizing for sure, but it just felt so weird.
A bit of a non-scale non-victory too - I got some underwear a few months ago that were really pretty, and size 10-12. They're a bit loose now, so I went back to replace them. They still had the same style in stock, but I discovered that they don't sell clothes below a size 10. Very weird having come from the other extreme of having to shop in Evans for all my clothes or shamefully shuffle to the "plus size" corner of New Look etc.
I think the biggest clothes NSV, and surprise really, is that I'm actually interested in clothes now. I used to hate shopping and thought I genuinely had no interest in fashion. Now I love trying stuff on and just wish I could afford to splurge!0 -
Same:here. I was in a 18 or 20. Went shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding. Thought I would try a 16. It was way to big. Searched for a 14 and they didnt have any Still looking for a dress...0
