Hi, I have developed quite a bad pain from running around my hip/groin area on my right side.
Walking tends to loosen it up and make it feel much better but being sat at a desk all day is not helping, get up and I seem to have got very stiff.
Anyone know of any chair exercises which can be done to loosen it up and stretch it out whilst I am sat at my desk?
Thanks

Might want to get it checked out. Could be many things. A strain. I had similar symptoms & I had a labral tear.0

i got that a month into running some really good stretches i do are on the floor though. i also work at a desk most of the time. i lay on my back and bend one leg then have my ankle of the other leg on top of the bended knee and pull my bottom leg up??? if that makes sense. another one i stand up and cross one leg in front of the other and stretch my upper body towards the opposite side like doing a half moon yoga pose. hope this helps a little???0

I would just try to get up from time to time and walk to the water fountain or bathroom.
Doing mobility work for my hips helped a lot with my hip pain (desk job too)
mobilitywod.com has some good stuff you can try. Most require a resistance band, but it's well worth the money if you're in pain.0 -
Check out this website:

I would get a foam roller, a tennis ball and start stretching.
I had the same issues and I ended up pulling my groin, so be careful (I too sit at a desk in front of a computer all day)0 -
I agree with the foam roller. I use it after all of my runs especially on my hips.0

That's great, thanks everyone.
Will try stretching, see what I can do here in work during the day hidden by the desk, may just have to go hide in a meeting room and do some floor ones too
Will defo try the foam roller too if this continues to be a problem
Thanks!!0
