Wow! I'm still at the beginning of my weight loss journey, but I wanted to share a mini-success with you. I was traveling with my family last week and gave myself a little leeway on what I ate while I was on vacation. I still logged days except one, and went over my calorie goals multiple times. Sure enough, when I got home the scale had bumped up a couple notches, as I had expected it to. HOWEVER, I didn't derail and give up my effort this time. I got back on track and planned some healthier meals for the week and continued with my regular exercise. I stepped on the scale this morning, and I'm down from where I was even before I left.
It's amazing how weight loss/ weight gain stops being some mystifying force in your life when you actually pay attention to what you are putting into your body, good or bad. I'm almost ten pounds down now, and the next ten (twenty, thirty) don't seem nearly as intimidating as they did when I began. Keep it up! We are doing this right!
