Hi y'all
I have been using MFP for almost a month. I waited until now to post my introduction because I wasn't sure that I would be able to continue with the program or have the willpower to stick to it. I have lost a lot of weight in the past, but always it came back. I have currently lost 82 pounds since I started working toward losing weight back in 2011, but since about mid to late 2012 I had reached a plateau.
I didn't think that I would break through it, but within the last month with the help of this program and finding new ways to enjoy food, I have lost another 5-7 pounds. I have lupus, and several other chronic health conditions that the medications can work against me when it comes to weight loss. I feel a lot better since I have been working with a friend that is a registered dietician on finding alternatives to junk food, and I am amazed to see that the pounds and inches are starting to shed.
My ultimate goal would be to be between 225-260, although I would be more than happy with 275. I am rather tall for a woman, and I have a very large bone frame so I know that I will never fit into what the BMI calculators see as normal. I have been working slowly to increase my caloric intake because I have a history of not really being able to eat right, engaging in very unsafe methods to lose weight. I am putting those methods behind me, and working to overcome my history.
I am looking for supportive members that can help motivate me on days that I don't feel that great. Please feel free to send me a request! :flowerforyou:
