Hello from sunny Florida!
I live across the street from the beach and thought it'd be funny to take a shot of myself tanning this past January and send it to friends and family up North. I had so much gut and moobs in the photo that I looked like a short-haired, chubby, topless woman on a beach towel. I was mortified (it should be noted I have nothing against short-haired, chubby, topless women; I just don't want to look like one)! The photo was instantly deleted and I decided it was time to do something about this.
I'd lost 9 lbs. and took my belt in two notches before signing up here so I was already doing something right but I need to tweak my eating habits for better/healthier results. I've been on this site for three days and while I didn't care for having to come up with some magical amount of pounds I want to lose I realize the site needs some statistics in order to calculate my results.
I joined a gym yesterday and am going in for my first workout in a few minutes. I've done the gym thing many times before and am looking forward to getting back into it. My goals are to lose the gut and moobs, build my arms and chest some and just look better overall when I'm on the beach in my swim trunks, so I can live up to my username.

Welcome to MFP I love this site, I have met so many inspiring friends. This is the first time I have ever been successful at losing weight and will stick to it.

Haha! You're definitely on the right track! Keep up the good work & you'll love meeting the goals that you have set for yourself! I'm working hard (yet again after my last child) to get myself back on the right track! Enjoy that beach for me! I hate the north & it's cold, snowy weather & miss my southern beaches something awful! lol Good Luck to you on your journey!!0

Thanks for all the good luck wishes and greetings. I got a good workout at the gym and I rode my bike, swam in the ocean and walked the beach so it has been a active day.0

Welcome to MFP ! Sounds like you are on the right track to getting where you want to be. Keeping track of your calories is def a plus. You dont realize how much you take in until you have to log it.
Sounds like you had a good workout ! Keep at it and you will lose those moobs before you know it lol. The beach part of your workout sounds the best....i love the beach as well.
