Hey guys,

I'm fairly new to using the myfitnesspal. I downloaded it over a year ago on my iphone, and logged in once, but couldn't really figure it out. At that time i was about 180lbs. (at 5'5" eek). In 2012, i began eating better and exercising more. Now i'm down to aroun 165lbs. I began using myfitnesspal again just to track my food, as i was trying to find out what my maintenance calories were. My job is pretty active, so i take a lot of calories for maintenance, about 2800-2900 on days i work. Does this mean i'd take in that much on my days off? Anyway, i'm stuck between two goals.

For one, i'd like to build some muscle mass, but at the same time, i'd like to be pretty ripped and shredded. Obviously a conflict there, but i know it's all about calories in and calories out. I'm still kind of in a "test" phase and it's been almost two weeks, where i'm playing with my diet. Now that i see what i'm getting a "lot" of and what i'm "not" getting a lot of, i'm thinking of altering what i eat even more.

I may not be using myfitnesspal exactly like i should, because i don't record my water consumption, coffee and green tea consumption, and don't record my days where i lift weights.

I'm open to joining other members as friends, but not sure how it works on here yet. I'm usually not into the whole social networking thing, but willing to give it a go with this. Anyway, looking forward to hearing from others, be it criticisms or words of encouragement, or even questions about my nutrition.
