Anyone able to help?

I've been persuaded to start weight training and, in order to do that, I need to start eating a lot more calories and especially a lot more protein.
Does anybody know how to work out:
a) how many calories I really need to eat
b) how much I should adjust my macro goals in favour of protein
I'm not bothered about losing weight, I want to change my body shape instead. But I have a very poor metabolism from years of eating disorders so I want to make sure I don't suddenly start piling weight *on*
I've had something called the metabolic diet recommended to me which only takes 3 days and is a reset, apparently?

I'm not sure about the metabolic diet, but this website:
http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/
will help you figure out your BMR and your TDEE (and your TDEE-20%). Also if you haven't seen it already, I would recommend checking out this guide:
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/931670-bmr-and-tdee-explained-for-those-needing-a-guide
She does a really good job about setting things straight on TDEE and BMR since it can be kind of confusing.
I also think that the Scooby calculator sets up your macros for you...but I could be wrong on that one. Good luck and hope these links help!0 -
Thank you so much!0
