I dont make fish because Im not sure how to make it.Can anyone give me any recipes or pointers?

    It's so easy... salmon can be cooked in a variety of ways. My favorite is to just marinate a piece of salmon in orange juice, olive oil, garlic and salt and pepper and throw it on the grill or under the broiler. It's delicious. That's just an example, but you don't have to do anything fancy.
  • Salmon is such a wonderful food. I make mine by slicing a whole raw lemon and lay it on a good size piece of aluminum foil. I lay the salmon on top of the lemon and wrap it up tight and bake it for 45 minutes at 375°. I buy enough for three people about a pound of salmon. Norweign salmon is my favorite!

    I lay mine on foil, throw a bit of olive oil in there (just a bit), cut up some veggies (broccolli, tomatos, etc.) wrap it all up and bake.

    Or instead of olive oil, some teriyaki sauce.

    If I'm feeling indulgent, I'll mix some brown sugar, grated ginger and dijon mustard into a paste, then spread on the top of the salmon before baking. YUM.

    In addition to salmon, tilapia and cod are mild-tasting (and relatively inexpensive!). I often make cod fillets by just brushing the tops with a low-cal mayo/dijon mustard combination, then sprinkle on panko crumbs mixed with lemon pepper Mrs. Dash. Bake at 400 degrees until the fish flakes (10-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish). It's really simple and really tasty.

    Before I started this "lifestyle change" (Not calling a diet) I would take haddock and coat it in Ritz Cracker crumbs and bake 15 min at 500 F. Even my youngest loves it and asks for "fish chicken nuggets" I plan to try to make mine with Panko crumbs, and see how it comes out.

    Just about any salt water fish is good grilled with a little olive oil and lemon juice. (Especially darker fish like sword fish, blue fish, salmon, and tuna steaks)

  • I've done this too...super yummy, but I use either parmesean cheese or crushed almonds or cashews for the crust instead of crackers!
