Weight loss/genetics

Hi guys,
I was reading an article in our daily newspaper today, which was talking about the possible link between genetics & weight problems. It was saying something about a test to determine which kind of diet would suit you best, depending on your genes.
I was just wondering if anyone had been tested in this way? Particularly anyone in the UK, as that's where I am! (not sure if it's actually available yet, or if they're still working on it!! ). If by any chance anyone HAS been tested, was there a lot of expense involved??
In a way it sounds far fetched, but in another way it seems to make sense, as certain diets seem to work better than others for certain people (if you see what I mean).
