This weekend I am going to a Tapas restaurant with a few friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. For those that don't know Tapas is spanish food served in appetizer portions ment to be shared with a group...

I've eaten at this location before and LOVE the food--I checked for nutrition information and none is available. How do I know what to eat/not eat and track my calorie intake at a minimum?

I've been doing really well in the last week and a half on calorie intake etc...and afraid to fall off the wagon by eating too much!

Thanks for all your suggestions and help in advance :)

Luckily in tapas not too many items are deep fried. there are many pan fried tho. I think your main issue will be sodium content. Being that I love food (chef by trade) especially tapas and wine! Have a small amount of anything you want. It is smaller portions to begin with and your sharing, I think you'd be totally fine.

Tortillas are full of normally healthy foods, I most often see them more vegetarian than not. Olives, good fat (high sodium tho). Just enjoy and don't over indulge!

    Hi,

I don't know if this will help you because as one of the pages below says different restaurants use different ingredients. My advice would be to use these as a guideline and just go out and enjoy yourself. You can't cut everything good out of your life. You can always make up for it by doing a little more exercise each day this week. If it make you feel better I'm going out on Thursday for my boyfriends birthday and I will likely be writing off the whole day, the place we are going has awesome fries and I don't plan on denying my self  .
