Today, my BMI dropped below 40 from an all time high of 44.6. I'm now only obese, not morbidly obese! Yahoo!

Hey, congratulations! Your post inspired me to check my BMI (I have avoided doing that for a long time) and it was 39.3! We share the same obesity day (or at least week).0

Congrats! I did the same thing a couple weeks back. It was a nice milestone. :-)
I started out with a BMI of 43 (middle of morbidly obese scale) and am now at 38.1 (severely obese) ... with a long way yet to go.
I have a tentative goal weight in mind that will put me at 24.9 (highest end of "normal") but I'm not even sure if that is my true goal. I might be quite comfortable at the middle range of "overweight". I guess I won't know my true goal weight until I get there and live with it a few weeks.
BMI Classification
< 18.5 underweight
18.5–24.9 normal weight
25.0–29.9 overweight
30.0–34.9 obese
≥ 35 or 40 is severe obesity
≥ 35 and experiencing obesity-related health conditions or ≥40–44.9 is morbid obesity
≥ 45 or 50 is super obesity
