I need some new ideas for dinners during the week. I'm getting tired of the same ol' thing. Or just a new way to make it would be nice too.

This is what I usually have (<400 calories).

Monday - Salmon
Tuesday - Steak
Wednesday - Tacos
Thursday - Speghetti & Meatballs
Friday - Baked Potato & Chili
Saturday - Soup & Sandwich
Sunday - Left overs

I know what you mean, that is when I buy frozen dinners by Smart Ones, Lean Cuisine & Healthy Choice and pair them up with fresh veggies or a salad!

Tonight I had multi grain bread w/ 3 oz chicken breast and cucumbers on it.. made it into a sandwhich.
I also had a handful of grape tomatoes and 1/2 c. 1% cottage cheese. It was muy tastey! :) and a little ovre 400. But now I'm done for the night.

I don't know how you do your salmon, but this is what I do: lightly spray 1 foil wrapper per piece of 5 oz salmon portion. sprinkle front and back w/ salt and paprika. top w/ 1/2 Tablespoon butter (you could use less, but ir's really not too bad) and a slice of lemon. close up the wrapper and put under high broiler fot 5-7 minutes. Open wrapper and put back under broiler for another 3-4 minutes. Times depend on how done you like your salmon. I eat that w/ rice and a veggie. Then I use leftovers (I make enough for the week) for lunches, making "sushi" w/ seaweed and sushi rice, adding a tiny bit of sesame oil and a tiny bit more salt. So yummy!

We eat burritos a lot, because they're so quick to put together.... lately have had chicken/bean/cheese and scrambled egg/turkey sausage/cheese burritos.

Also made up a thing of macaroni salad with low fat mayo, mustard, shrimp, tuna and veggies, which is about 200 calories a cup and really satisfying (and nice when whether is hot!)-- have been eating on that all week.

For really easy, Progresso light soup and grilled cheese sandwich (made with butter spray and lowfat cheese... and I add tomato to the sandwich).

We love to grill this time of year, it makes even a plain old turkey dog taste different. One of my new favorites is a chicken/spinach/asiago cheese sausage from Sam's club. It is wonderful grilled and only 110 calories. I make up some low cal coleslaw and I have a quick, easy, low cal meal.
Breakfast is always a winner, since we just never have enough time in the morning.

Grilling isn't really an option since I live on a second story condo. Washington state law
