Figuring out body fat percentage...

Is there any way to figure this out without having a calibrator? (think that's what it's called). I know my scale supposedly says body fat %, but I am positive it is inaccurate because it tells me a different thing everytime I get on!

Not going to be as accurate as a caliper or even hyrdostatic method.
But I had my BF% tested a couple months ago by use of the calipers, and this calculator came pretty close to that number

I googled it at one point and looked up body fat percentage and there were several sites that can figure by measurments. Its really not as accurate though.0

I have an electronic one that you hold in your hands. In the instruction manual for it several times it says to do at the same time every day 2 hours (or more) after eating or drinking. It also suggests using the bathroom right before hand. I assume your scale uses the same type of electrical resistance to get you body fat % so water affects the result a TON. Water and fat have similar resistance. If you still have the manual for your scale look and see if it has suggestions like that.0

This is the calculator the Navy uses. I've heard it's accurate. http://www.bblex.de/en/calc/navy.php0
