ive been reading but decided not to post until i lost some kind of weight. i started on fitday in mid march at 206 lbs (my weight at my annual checkup), ditched fitday for here a few weeks ago, and weighed myself for the first time at a friends house (i dont own a scale) and was very pleased to see 193.5! ive tried a few times to do this but never got past a few days. i feel great!

i was a normal weight, then i had two babies in four years, and opened a restaurant and had little time for myself and no time for meal breaks so i ate bread and cheese and iced mochas on my feet whenever i could grab a moment. i used to cook all meals from scratch, but the restaurant made me too exhausted to cook so we had take out every night. the constant physical exercise of restaurant work was probably the only thing that kept me from gaining way more. then my kids got a little older and we had to put our family first and close a successful business for their sakes. it was hard to sell the restaurant, but we are all so much happier now and i am cooking for my family again. believe it or not our place served healthy salads and homemade dressings and vegetarian soups, all healthy stuff but i never had time to eat it! but ive become a master salad maker and food prepper, my new fridge is set up like a commercial kitchen with tubs of prepped veggies ready to cook.

anyways, its nice to be here, i have some questions that i will ask in time. ive just been making our food fresh and from scratch, close to 2/3 veggie and fruit, and doing 6 days a week of 45 minutes on a stationary bike, yoga every evening, and light weights every other day.. this week i tried doing ten planks a day and its getting easier but it is still a special kind of torture! id like to learn more about strength training but dont really know where to start and i cant afford a trainer or even a gym. oh and i ate two krispy kreme donuts last night and they were fantastic, just trying to keep it real hahahaha.

nice to meet you all.
