Hi, Sara. I am 53. I started MFP last June and, like you, promptly forgot about it. But in Feb 2013, I picked it up again and have been hooked since! I have started losing. I am working on making this attempt the one that carries me to my goal. I am working on not quitting if I screw up. MFP is teaching me that even when I overeat all is not lost. It shows me that if I can control myself most of the time, the out of control times won't have to stop me. It's a new thing for me to be encouraged to keep getting back on the wagon. 8). Who'd have thunk that a computer application could make such a difference! Feel free to friend me. Maybe We can help keep eachother going. 8)

Hi Sara. I"m 60 so I may be termed a senior but I still feel very young. Good luck with your program. I'm new to MFP myself.

Hi, not a senior just yet, I'm close though, 54!! However did that happen? Anyway, I need to lose and my goal is 60lbs to start with. I have just been using the food diary honestly. I have to say that just doing that everyday has been motivating. I'm learning about portion control and it's so easy to do. I joined the walking club at work and enjoy getting out for some exercise. This week I will remove the inch thick dust from my scale and weigh myself. I'll measure too, as sometimes while the scale won't move the measurements do!!

I am determined not to become a loon this time around. Going to be honest, sensible and consistent.

Hi Sara, not quite a senior but close  I'm 58 and started MFP a few months ago. I didn't have that much to lose but find the tracking very helpful. 2 away from goal but I'll stay on in maintenance to keep me focused! Good luck to you and if I can help I'm happy to do that!:flowerforyou:

Hi Sara, 56 here. Fould MFP about 3 weeks ago and started tracking. I have only lost 7 pounds, but I come here everyday just to read the motivational stories. I love reading the success stories also and now I don't feel like I am in this all by myself. I have been doing so good with my food intake, healthy eating, drinking water, and tracking since I started. This site motivates me to keep going. Feel free to friend me. Good luck on your journey.
