Others and I sometimes have a hard time seeing how much weight we've lost since we see ourselves every day. Well I just thought of a nice visual aid to help us out. Here's how:
Fat tissue has a 0.9 g/ml density. I've lost 64 lbs so far.
64 lbs / 2.2 = 29kg.
29 kg / 0.9 = 32.2L fat lost.
32.2L / 3.78 = 8.5 gallons of fat lost
8.5 gallons! Go line up your result in gallons of water next to each other to see how much fat volume has been removed from your body. This allows you to see your progress removed from your body. It's eye-opening.
For reference:
5 gallons (~37.5 lbs fat lost) - http://i.imgur.com/dbhHVa7.jpg
10 gallons (~75 lbs fat lost) - http://imgur.com/7dLAlNK.jpg
Keep up the good work.
