I started on Mar. 17 2008
My start weight was 280. I wanted to lose at least 100 lbs.
Mar. 24 weigh in: 274 - 94 lbs to go
Mar. 31 weigh in: 269 - 89 lbs to go

Hang in there Rayneenie. As long as you are consistent you will ultimately see results - the fluctuations are normal. I know its discouraging though. I weigh every day, but I only "count" the one on my scheduled weigh day. Make sure you are weighing the same time every day - makes a big difference for me. I quote from one of my kids favorite movies Finding Nemo, "Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim, swim.":happy:

You are doing GREAT!!! Your progress looks a lot like mine did from early on. Trust me, all these 2-3 lbs losses (even with weeks of maintaining or whatever), will add up quick! I mean, WOW 18 lbs in a little over a month!!
I have posted this before but I figure I should post it here and there to help people to feel hope! My progress since September. As you can see, March sucked!!!! LOL!

Heres my stats. I started dieting on 1/25/08 weighing in at 305 lbs
started mfp March 20th at 292 lbs
March 27th ..... 290 lbs
April 3rd .......... 288 lbs
April 10th......... 286 lbs0 -
I started MFP January 4th weighing in at 274.5
now 4/10 I weigh 243.5
I've lost 31 lbs so far.
I'm averaging the 2 lbs a week that I'm shooting for....
some weeks more, some a little less, but it's averaging out to be 10 lbs a month!!
so with 84 lbs to go, I'm hoping and praying that in 8 months (I'll give myself up to a year), I'll be at my goal weight.
I haven't found anything like this website, anywhere, ever!! I'm forever grateful to Mike and the wonderful people I've met on MFP!!

Started MFP and my healthier lifestyle in January....at 290 lbs! Yikes, my all time heaviest...
Last week I weighed in at 233 lbs!!!
This week I weighed in at 229 lbs!!!
I am so excited and thankful for my new lifestyle, and so grateful that I found this site and so many supportive people on it!!! I lost 4 lbs this week, bringing my total loss to 61 lbs that I never want to see again!!!

Hello, i began MFP in october, at 296. i am currently 276, and will be checking in every monday. my goal weight is 160 pounds, but i have never in my adult life been under about 240, so i'm not sure what my "ideal" weight will be until i get there.
for november, december, january and half of february i went on a compulsive overating health plan where you recognize the foods that cause you to binge, and abstain from them. forever. no sugar, no chocolate, no pizza, no fast food, nothing high fat and nothign in a large portion... this worked for me for the first few months, and i got down to 269, the first time i've been that low in about 7 years. unfortunately when i fell off the wagon i fell hard! i have gained back almost 10 pounds, but i am still on myfitnesspal and hoping that calorie counting and having treats in moderation will prevent me from binging in the future.
here is to 20 pounds gone, and another 116 to go~
we are all here for each other, and we can do this. make each day a goal and do your best to get through today. if you don't, try again tomorrow. and if you do, make tomorrow as good as today.

ok so it would not let me edit today but that is ok I am pretty upset with my weigh in any how.
I am up a half pound this week. I guess it makes me so angry cause I bust my rump in that pool every night. and now I know I have to work harder this week to make it to my June goal of a size 26.

had an unbelievable binge yesterday. could not stop eating and had 2 large pizza subs, small bag of chips, bottle of diet pepsi, DQ ultimate burger, Deep fried chicken burger, large fries, large gravy, large diet pepsi and a twix. i was so ill, i vomitted convulsively for about half an hour.
why do i do this to myself? i know i am an emotional over-eater, and have very compulsive tendencies, but i really don't know why, after almost 30 years of eating this way, i have not learned why i do this or how on earth to stop!
i hate the idea that tomorrow is a new day etc. because it seems like it gives me permission to destroy my goal today and make up for it tomorrow. it's an ongoing cycle. my mom said i should walk into the doctor and tell him i am a compulsive overeater and that i need help, but i don't know how to go about doing that.
i am in meetings all day today, and have a fancy lunch out with the crew this afternoon. here's hoping i don't go overboard at the buffet and try to make it through today.

it has been about a week and i havent weighed in yet i dont know what to do cause my home scale only goes to 300 and im too embarrassed to do it in a public place I will measure this evening0 -

I would like to get in on this. I am 27 years old and I do not know how much I weigh. My profile lists 305 but that isn't accurat. My home scale only goes to 305 and currently I am seeing a BIG FAT E for error, translation " my butts too big" lol
I am determined to this time get it off and keep it off. I lost nearly 70 lbs previously and put it all back on. My husband and I are doing this together so it's making it a bit easier knowing he's there suffering through the elliptical as well.
My first goal - to see a number!
My long term goal is to get to approx. 150 lbs. or whatever I feel looks best on me. Truth be known I'd be thrilled to never ever have to walk into a PLUS size section again.
