Balance your Calories?

I was just wondering how other people handle when they go over their cal deficite for a day. Yesterday being a huge football fan I made some turkey burgers and had too many potatoe chips while watching the NFL Draft. I ended up over 800 cal for the day. That is not a big deal to me as I have been at or under my calorie for the last 20 days in a row. I was just curious how other people handle this. Some people have said just try to be 400 under for the next 2 days and your right back to even, while others say just move and continue each day like yesterday never happened. What are your thoughts on this? I know some people actually do dieting like that where they will switch going way over and way under from day to day.

When I was deficit eating, I just went about my life...one day of many. Maintaining now, and pretty much the same thing...just go on with life. It's when it becomes routine that it's a problem.0

I eat normal the next day and make sure I don't go over.0

I balance it out for the most part - If I go over 800 on a Saturday (I'm a football fan too ) then I aim to be 200 or so under for a couple days following. If I know a Saturday is coming up where I'm probably going to splurge, I do my best to save up cals the week before - to me this seems easier, as if I've earned a splurge day rather than feeling guilty for having one. As long as my net is under for the week I don't sweat it.0
