Somehow I'm gaining weight?

After a sadly long break I am back on track with clean eating and exercising! For roughly 2 weeks I've been eating healthy, staying in between 1200-1400 cals/day, walking very briskly and jogging a little (I can only jog for 2 minutes at a time rn) almost daily, and doing beginner's cardio at home.

In my first week I lost about 1 kg (2.2 pounds) but then I started gaining 100 or 200 grams (0.2 - 0.5 pounds) every day. I have no idea why or how?

I'm not working out hard/long enough to build muscle, so it isn't muscle gain, nor am I consuming too much sodium or salt. Any ideas/help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I'm trying hard not to get unmotivated... I still have 10 kgs to lose.

It's only been 2 weeks. Have patience. Weight loss isn't always consistent week to week, especially for those without a lot to lose. In fact, it would be better to shoot for .5 or 1 lb per week. If you do that and follow the MFP plan of eating back your exercise calories then you should see a loss.

If the exercise is new your muscles might be holding water which could cause you to temporarily not lose. Again, just be patient and keep to the plan.

My weight fluctuates a lot (I think that is pretty normal) .... I wouldn't worry about it just yet.
