ok I need some advice from someone who uses weights more than me. lol I am thinking of doing the plan here

http://www.muscleandstrength.com/articles/womens-body-bible.html

only thing is I don't have a barbell just dumbells so not sure if it would be as effective. thoughts would be appriciated from those that have experiance.

I have ordered you are your own gym and body by you just waiting for them to get here. I only workout at home and only have a bench and dumbells ranging from 1-20 pounds.

I think it's too complicated for a beginner program.
take a look at mine, and if you have questions on how to adapt it to using dumb bells, let me know.

I tried using the barbell for chest press, but it hurt my elbows. The up and down motion constrains your arms in a way that isn't natural for the movment of the arms. I exclusively use the dumb bells. The dumbells work stabilizer muscles that give you better, more usable muscles...BUT...the big massive chest that I want hasn't materialized In a year's time. I am much, much stronger than a year ago, but my chest hasn't bulked up. I am not sure if this is just bad genetics or a result of not using the barbell. I think it is just sucky genetics because I use almost all machines on my back, and my lats are growing in a ridiculous way.
You might need more weights later, but look for them at yard sales or garage sales or craigslist.
